NAV20 - Base Report Designer (1 Day)

Course Aims

To ensure that delegates are able to create new reports, both with the Report Design wizard and without it, and to ensure that they are able to modify existing reports. In addition the course will demonstrate to delegates how to locate the information they wish to report on, and the tools available to them when creating and modifying reports.

Who should attend?

All 'Super Users' should attend this course. Other delegates should be personnel who will be expected to extract information from, and report on data held within Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV

Pre-Requisites

Course NAV01 - System Overview & Architecture or similar knowledge level

Course Content

Base Report Designer

• Create and maintain reports using the Microsoft Dynamics™ NAV Report Designer


• Understand how to choose the data tables to report from


• Link tables together to form a hierarchy, e.g. Customer and Orders


• Learn to choose the fields to report


• Learn to move fields around to format the report


• Learn to modify the way a field looks, e.g. Bold, Italic, Font Size


• Learn to create internal calculation fields


• Create report sections, e.g. header & footer


• Produce section totals and group on your reports


• Compile and save a report


• Run your report from the design environment


• Make the report available to other users


• Modify existing reports and documents
